Insert music to your Facebook profile by registering for a SoundCloud account.

Facebook does not have a built-in audio uploading tool at time of publication. However, one way to upload music to share with your Facebook friends is to use the free streaming audio hosting website SoundCloud. After uploading a music file to SoundCloud, you can share a link with your Facebook friends. This link will appear as a streaming audio player using Adobe's Flash plug-in and can be played directly from your Facebook friends' "News Feed," similar to how videos from YouTube are displayed.

     Open your Internet browser and visit facebook.com. Log in to your account.

     Open a new tab or window in your Internet browser and visit soundcloud.com.

       Browse and install Android apps from your phone, tablet or the web

     Click the "Sign Up" button on the SoundCloud homepage. A pop-up window will appear to register for a SoundCloud account.

     Click the "With Facebook" button in the SoundCloud registration window. A page will appear that wants you to confirm that SoundCloud can access your Facebook profile.

     Click the "Confirm" button and your SoundCloud account will be created. You will then be redirected to the main dashboard of your new account.

     Click the "Upload and Share" button. Select the music file you want to upload in the browser window that appears. Alternatively, you can press the "Rec" button and record live audio from your computer sound card's microphone or line-in jack.

     Enter a title and information for the music file you are uploading.

     Click on the "Save" button to finish and you will be redirected to the SoundCloud page for the music file you just uploaded.

     Click the "Share" button and select "Facebook" from the choices. A window will pop up to confirm you want to post the file to your Facebook profile. Click the "Share Link" button in the window and the music file will be posted to your profile in a streaming Flash audio player.
